So who is ahjweb? ahjweb is me, Alan Johnston, AJ to my friends. I have been working with web site since the mid 1990's. I started out with a couple of hobby pages, which I maintained and updated on a weekly basis. My first commercial web site was Spa Sublime. This was a situation where the owner wanted a web site, but, didn't know how and where to start. After getting a few quotes over a $1000(just to get started), I stepped in and built the website they wanted and I have since continued to maintain and develop it.

As a background, I have spent about 20 years in the Information Technology industry. More recently I have worked as a Network Engineer with a major South Eastern US Bank, where I was involved in developing their first Internet Web Site. For the last year I have split my time between writing web sites and doing Network Consulting.
I am happily married with 3 children and a dog and live in North Carolina.
